Bill Rush, SPHR
Bill has been a Human Resource practitioner for the past 25 years. He has worked in a variety of industries and for companies nationwide on issues including employee relations, compensation and benefit plan development, affirmative action planning and audit management, employee and labor relations, safety and security management as well as risk mitigation services which includes expert witness, mediatory and investigatory experience.
Bill is past president of the Birmingham Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM) (800+ members) and currently serves as an advisory councilor. Additionally Bill has served on the Alabama's State Council of SHRM continuously since 1986, was Director of that organization in 1992/1993 and is the Chair of the Alabama SHRM State Conference.
Bill is and has been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) since 1986. He also served on the SHRM Area II Board from 1992 to 1994. Bill has been extensively involved in legislative affairs, having made many "Hill Visits" to Washington, D.C. over the past 15 years. Bill is a lifetime certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, an honor bestowed by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) to recognize that he has mastered the core principles and practices of the Human Resource Profession.
